New project published on power system stability with distributed generation

A new ACCAD project case has been published in the Projects section on power system stability for an oil and gas field with distributed generation. The publication shows how a digital model was used to assess the most demanding operating scenarios and support reliable operation of process units.

The case covers:

• island and grid-connected operating modes;
• transient behavior during switching between supply configurations;
• short circuit, motor starting, and motor reacceleration scenarios;
• protection-related measures to improve overall system stability.
